My story

I want to bring everyone across the great state of Texas access to affordable, consistent and reliable stand-by generator power. While reducing the time, frustration and uncertainty to make this happen for both installers and homeowners.

Sunrise and a new day

How it all began

Grid bid was born out of my frustration. I wanted to make a positive change in a place where it is desperately needed. The current process to get a quote or even an installation of a standby generator can take months to over a year in some cases, due to the broken process that both homeowners and installers must endure. I started asking around from people I knew and soon found that lots of them agreed that there had to be a better way.

I started Grid Bid because i noticed a need for an open, honest, competitive marketplace to serve both the homeowner and installer. From the homeowners I would hear, “I can’t get anyone to come out, they won’t call me back, or the appointment they gave me is 1 month out.” On the installer side I would hear, “the lead wasn’t matched or educated to what we’re selling.” After working in the industry since 2020, I decided I wanted to create a place to educate, inform and ultimately match the homeowner and installer together based on the backup power needs. I went on to build Grid Bid to bring these broken connections together. I want to solve this problem by creating this unique marketplace in Texas to help combat the power crisis that continues with the state grid. Picking the right installer can be stressful and daunting, but at Grid Bid, we want to make it a seamless process for both parties.

On a mission to reduce wait times, poor quality leads and bring power and happiness to Texans one installation at a time.
